3 I n spring 2021, we had our first Derby Days in three semesters. Brothers Jack Dillavou '24 and Kade Imhoff '24 helped us raise over $14,000 over the course of a week for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Having no previous Derby Days experience in the chapter house, it was a learning curve to host our first one. Nonetheless, these men did an amazing job with the support of the chapter and community. Quaestor Aidan Siefkes '24 had all in-house members' dues either paid or on a payment plan before everyone moved in this fall. He has done a commendable job communicating with members to accomplish this feat for the first time in the past few years. At the end of the spring semester, we had a GPA of 3.3. With help from Scholarship Chairman Sam DcCoursey '23, we are optimistic about increasing the chapter's GPA to meet our goal of 3.5 this fall. Given the resilience we've shown thus far, we have no doubt we can achieve this goal. Mid-summer, Kansas State University reopened campus and announced a mask mandate for any on-campus facility. For over two-thirds of our in-house members, this will be their first semester of in-person classes since the start of their college education. Feedback from members has shown that in-person classes are more effective and productive than virtual classes. With that said, we look forward to having the accessibility to meet our GPA goal by the end of this semester. The reimplementation of in-person classes also allows for more extracurriculars, intramural sports, and philanthropy to take place. We are elated that our members will get to experience Sigma Chi at its full capacity. Jack Burton '23, Chase Kreutzer '23, and Gage Roberts '22 collaborated to recruit 23 men of good character into the chapter. By the time this publication is printed, we will have an additional group of upstanding men welcomed into our brotherhood, and we couldn't be more excited. Brothers after winning 2-1 in intramural soccer against rival fraternity Delta Upsilon. Welcome, new members! These upstanding men have a cumulative GPA of 3.65, and 12 brothers participate in intramural sports. BRIGHTER DAYS AHEAD In-Person Classes Lead to More Events on Campus This Fall Looking to the future, Evan Ranallo '24, Jack Dillavou '24, and Logan Rosner '24 have already been offering chapter house and campus tours to potential members for next fall's recruitment. We can't wait to build the strength of our brotherhood and have an eventful year! In Hoc, Chace McIlvaine '23 Consul
