MS Beta Post The Mississippi Beta Chapter of Pi Beta Phi at the University of Mississippi | Fall 2021 Always True to the Wine and Blue Always True to the Wine and Blue I n the blink of an eye, 2021 will be coming to a close. Over the years, we've set some high expectations for ourselves and each other, and these new goals for Mississippi Beta are just as ambitious. Our capital campaign, Always True to the Wine and Blue: 60 Years of Mississippi Beta Tradition, is progressing nicely with construction happening on the back of the house. We are looking forward to having the chapter house renovation and expansion completed by August 2022 so those in town for Mississippi Beta's 60 th anniversary celebration can visit, but we still have progress to make in 2021 if we are to celebrate that milestone as planned. Mississippi Beta has served as home to many young women throughout their collegiate years, and we plan to continue this honor. We had an amazing recruitment, and our collegiate sisters cannot wait to call the newly renovated 642 Rebel Drive home. Due to the pandemic, however, construction costs have risen, and we need the immediate support of everyone to keep the chapter house a home. Your support is essential to ensure we reach our $1.75 million goal. While our project plans continue to move forward, we are reminded of just how thankful we are for the 178 people who have already donated to our campaign efforts to help Mississippi Beta remain a premier sisterhood. We would not be where we are today without your support, but our work is not yet complete. If you have already made a gift, please consider extending your commitment for an additional one to two years or making an additional one-time donation. If you have yet to donate to our campaign efforts, we encourage you to think back to your time at the house and remember what gifts Mississippi Beta has given you. Each donation — no matter the size — will make a difference, and gifts given today will help us stick to our construction timeline. We also would like to ask if there are any artists in our sisterhood who are interested in donating pieces to display in the completed chapter house.
