And some vintage scary movies. One of the granddaddies of the genre has to be "Psycho." Arguably director Alfred Hitchcock's most famous work – if not his best – the 1960 thriller about shy, unbalanced motel proprietor Norman Bates' (Anthony Perkins) murder of alluring guest Marion Crane (Janet Leigh) not only produced filmdom's most memorable shower scene but also served as the origin of a lot of horror movie tropes that exist today. And sharp-eyed viewers will notice Ted Knight – who would go on to win two Emmy Awards more than a decade later as buffoonish news anchor Ted Baxter in "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" – in an uncredited role as a cop. Fans can get scared all over again when Turner Classic Movies airs it in prime time on Sunday, Oct. 31.
