Did you know? Research confirms that the two most important decisions a student makes when they arrive on campus are: • e organizations they join. • eir living environment. (Students spend over 70% of their time in their living environment.) "I have been the Purple Legionnaire for Beta Kappa since the selection process began for brothers to restart our chapter. I have seen it grow from a colony of 41 young men selected by headquarters to a chapter of over 100 brothers. ey grew and thrived through a pandemic. Whenever they faced challenges, they always found a way to do the right thing, even when it wasn't the easy thing. ese young men are doing fraternity the right way. While I am sure they will continue to thrive without a chapter house, I believe they have earned our trust, and we must help them obtain one. We have an extremely active and capable board of chapter advisors and house corporation to watch over Beta Kappa's undergraduates and guide them through whatever challenges they will face." – Michael Rosen '87 6 "FIJI has changed my life for the better in every aspect. is group of young gentlemen not only motivates and supports each other, but we have also created a safe and humble space for young men coming into college. A chapter house would give us a communal area to further strengthen our bonds and friendships. It would give us a location to better recruit fine young men and be a stable place to represent our community and values. Living with brothers creates a greater communal sense and a deeper understanding of the issues and ideals that we stand by and preach to all members. ere is a deeper connection to the longevity of our brotherhood and the significance of our five core values. Being able to have more members from different years would not only make these connections stronger, but would also make the transition period of leadership roles easier. Having the ability to show younger brothers the way of FIJI Gentlemen would be deeply ingrained in their college experiences and instill care and love for all future generations of FIJIs." – Aidan Casias '23, Chapter President
