I
t is with a happy heart that I can report the Xi
Corporation Board has been able to make some
needed updates to the chapter house. As you will
recall, the summer of 2020 was very different due
to COVID-19, but this past summer, things were a
bit brighter. We updated the house's dining room by
changing the flooring and chair covers and lightening
the paint color. Additionally, we added new carpet to the
stairwells and hallways. Moreover, painting and minor
repairs were completed to keep our dear house looking
great and running smoothly!
In this newsletter, you will find information related to our
annual meeting, which will take place on November 14 at
3 p.m. Due to continuing concerns with COVID-19, we
will be holding our annual meeting online. You will find
links to the Zoom meeting and the ballot we are asking
you to complete on page 4.
During the meeting, the Xi Corporation Board is proposing
adding verbiage to our bylaws. It has become practice over the
years to have the chapter house manager and advisory board
liaison serve as non-voting members of our board, but that
change has never been formally addressed. We believe these
ladies are important members of the board and aide in the
communication process; therefore, we want to continue this
practice and align our actions with the language of our bylaws.
We thank you all for your continued support of the chapter.
You are important to the future of Xi, and we invite you to stop
by Sigma Kappa for a visit anytime you are in town.
