In the winter they would be occupied RUBY EILEEN STEVENS-ROSS Ruby Eileen Stevens-Ross born in Chadron, Nebraska on May 11, 1919. She passed on August 21, 2021 in Quartzsite from complications due to cancer. Ruby was married to Wayne Ross on March 25, 1940 in Chadron, NE. His death preceded Ruby in 1994. Ruby Ross moved to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in Kyle SD, where they started to travel the countryside. They ran and sheared sheep across the western states until they decided to retire in 1973. She was a member of the Odd Fellows at Chadron, NE and the Good Sam Club in Quartzsite, AZ. Ruby was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the QIA. Ruby had been living in Quartzsite since 1977 at Tyson Mobile Home Park. Ruby was 102 years young and was full of life. She beat cancer several times before but could not win this last battle. She was a self-taught art- ist, a master craftswoman at quilting and arts and crafts projects master- ing all of them. She had won several awards during her life with her skills. Ruby's personality was bubbly, car- ing and sometimes outspoken as she never had a problem telling you what she thought. Her sense of humor was a little strange but lovable. She en- joyed the holidays, especially Hallow- een as she dressed up as Dolly Parton one year in a wig and short dress, and go-go boots. She was also a very generous lady and tried to help others whenever she could. All of her friends will miss her and we leave her with this poem: with hunting, fi shing, cooking and just hanging out with friends on the river in Parker. Out of high school, Jane danced in the chorus line until she met her fu- ture husband, Jack, in Hawaii. They were married within a week and were together almost 50 years. Later in life Jane took up painting in various media. She continued to take painting classes for over thirty years and has won various art awards. People who knew Jane knew her to be a caring and loving person with a sweet disposition. She was also a good business manager and an avid hunter and fi sherman. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Schue. She is sur- vived by her sister Sheba Sams, son Steve Schue, and three great grand- children: Brenton Schue Jr., Jillian Schue, and Ian Wagner. We'd walk right up to heaven And bring you back again. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone. For part of us went with you The day God called you home. God looked around his garden And he found an empty place, Then he looked down upon the earth And he saw your precious face. He put his arms around you And he lifted you to rest, God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. We knew you were suffering, We knew you were in pain, We knew you would never get well On this earth again. So he closed your weary eyes And he whispered "peace be thine", Then he took you up to heaven So gentle and so kind. God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best. is here for you! • Mobile Notary Service • Pick Up & Delivery Service • Courier Service • Professional Correspondence • Proof Reading • Copies Lois Pearl Hale Quartzsite Resident 562-682-7283 Bonded Notary Bonded Notary Public Public Executive Executive Secretary Secretary
