The Ivy 3 Welcome, NEW MEMBERS Traversing the Miles and Staying Connected Beta Beta Sisters Gather in Michigan for Annual Weekend Trip T his past June, ten members of the class of 1963 gathered for another of their many reunions in Macatawa, Michigan. This reunion was to celebrate the year that most of us turned 80, only Carol Carr Morris '60 will have to wait until 2022. The four-day weekend included walks on the shore of Lake Michigan, lunch and shopping in both Holland and Saugatuck, cocktail parties and two dinners at Betsy's home, and a big 80th birthday party at the Yacht Club. Over the four days there was lots of talking and laughing, telling stories, and singing of old Phi songs. Five sisters were unable to attend: Ann Sherwood Bryant '60, Connie Snider Horn '60, Liz Hopkins Jackson '60, Nancy Donaldson Scott Butterfield '60, and Carol Smith Wingerter '61. Six sisters are members of the Silent Chapter: Lynne Fisher Vandenbrink '60, Sue Phinny Nelson '60, Carol Cohagan '61, Barb Baldwin Fraboni '61, Joanne Sandow Draper '60 and Jane Phillips '60. Our class continues to send a yearly newsletter and this year it was number 58. We are most proud of the scholarship we established after our 40th reunion, and the Beta Beta Class of 1963 40th Anniversary Scholarship continues to benefit a Beta Beta sister each year. We look forward to our next reunion and the Centennial Celebration in 2022.
