featured dining guide story Advertorial Feature pumped for pumpkin By karen rice nOrTHWeST arkanSaS DeMOcraT- GaZeTTe I t's October, and the season of all things pumpkin is here. Lucky for breakfast and brunch fans in Northwest Arkansas, that means the incredible Pumpkin Pancakes are back at First Watch for a limited time. So get over to your neighborhood First Watch (in Fayetteville, Rogers or Bentonville), so you don't miss out on this seasonal delight. Their signature-spiced pancakes play a starring role in the Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast—two cage-free eggs cooked any style plus a delicious Pumpkin Pancake and a grilled all-natural savory chicken sausage patty. And that sausage patty is something special too. The First Watch chef traveled to Ft. Atkinson, Wisconsin to craft the perfect Chicken Apple Sausage recipe with the culinary team at Jones Dairy Farm. It's another delicious part of their amazing, chef- curated menu. And you'll love starting off your meal by sipping a healthy, refreshing Carrot Crush, blending carrot, orange, coconut water, turmeric and lemon. The season of pumpkin spice wouldn't be complete without First Watch's scrumptious Pumpkin Spice donuts. Warm cake donut holes are tossed with pumpkin spiced sugar and lightly dusted with powdered cinnamon sugar. Served with salted caramel apple butter and crème anglaise. Pair those pumpkiny treats with First Watch's famous Million Dollar Bacon, baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle. Also on the fall menu is the hearty and satisfying Short Rib Omelet. Savory red wine–braised beef short ribs, house- roasted shallots and Crimini mushrooms, fresh spinach and Mozzarella cheese. Topped with Parmesan cream sauce and fresh herbs. Served with lemon dressed organic mixed greens and ciabatta toast. Or maybe you'd prefer the Truffle Mushroom Hash. It features house- roasted Shiitake and Crimini mushrooms, crispy diced bacon and Monterey Jack cheese atop fresh, seasoned potatoes. Topped with two cage-free eggs any style, Parmesan cream sauce, truffle oil and lemon dressed arugula. There are so many more inventive and intriguing dishes to explore here.
