BY GEORGE DICKIE How was getting to play all of your colleagues? How did you approach that? It depends if they were in the room at the same time as I was having to play them. I found that to be a bit of a challenge because you're you know, I am a bit of a mimic. I think we all are. But it's always much more fun to do an impression of someone when they're not actually there. I (do them) behind their back, you know, which is usually how I roll. But I did find myself having to do these impersonations in front of said fellow actor. And you know what, everyone was wonderfully supportive. I got everyone to basically perform the lines that I was performing in the scene in character, and then I pretty much had an easy job of just listening to that, those recordings over and over again, and then just kind of getting a sense of – and I think I got everyone at a slightly different time. ... And then I just – I don't know. You're looking for that groove, you know, when you're doing an impression. I guess I like doing impressions because it feels like something completely different to myself. But when you're doing a good impression, it feels like a groove. It doesn't feel like you're trying. You're just that other person, as it were. But they were super helpful and supportive, and I couldn't have done it without them. How did you find playing the kickball scene and choreographing that? We were just having mad snowball fights for a lot of it. I think when we're outside, I find that as a cast we get more and more hyper. The colder it gets, the more hyperactive we get. And I think it really helped in that scene because we were charging around, you know, kicking these balls. I mean, I'm a soccer player myself, so I don't have a problem kicking a ball. Running in a circle in the snow, though, my fitness levels are definitely not what they should be. But it was a fun night.
