im Newsom Ray '84 planned an OU Tri Delta
reunion for the 1980s pledge classes, with Liz
DeLany Nelson '83 joining her in contacting sisters
and reserving rooms at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine,
Texas, for June 2020. Then COVID-19 came along, so they
regrouped and postponed until September. COVID-19 was
still a health threat at that time, so they regrouped again.
This time, a weekend in June 2021 worked out perfectly.
The weekend started with a meet -and -greet cocktail party
on Friday night. Saturday morning's breakfast featured Tri
Delta National President Megan Shaw James, who visited
with several sisters and gave a very nice overview of the
state of Tri Delta. Saturday also included swimming and a
Mexican buffet dinner.
On Sunday morning, two tours of Tri Delta National
Headquarters in Dallas were coordinated by Lori
Hammons Doran '78. Many sisters enjoyed exploring the
archives and history of Tri Delta.
Thank you, Kim and Liz, for planning a wonderful
weekend. So many of us had a great time reconnecting and
meeting new Tri Delta sisters.
