e North Huntsville Business Association (NHBA),
located at 2007 Memorial Parkway North, Suite J,
wants to become a catalyst for positive change in the
North Huntsville area.
Its goals are to grow business and economic
interests in the area, while also helping
residents prepare for such business
opportunities, and to train residents for the
jobs that are sure to come.
Redstone provided funding to support
the association's efforts.
Judy Hardin, Executive Director and
a retiree of Raytheon, expressed that
collaboration is key: "We are a diverse
organization that helps businesses and
wants to inspire community growth…
We all have to work together to make
that happen."
e association's Wall of Fame reflects that
collaboration. It features companies, including
Redstone, and individuals who are working with the
organization in various capacities.
"Our goal as an organization is to move forward, listen to what the
community's needs are, and try to help augment that with plans with
the city," Hardin said.
NHBA not only supports its members' businesses, but also supplements the cost
of rent to nearby restaurants Kim's Diner and Betty Mae's. With financial help
from Google Fiber, Hardin said a yet-to-be-announced startup will soon operate
out of the NHBA facility rent-free while receiving mentoring, networking, and
other small business resources.
