By karen rice nOrTHWeST arkanSaS DeMOcraT-GaZeTTe R ight now, the First Watch culinary team is rolling out a new season of inspired creations for breakfast, brunch and lunch to celebrate fall. So the next time you visit your neighborhood First Watch (in Fayetteville, Rogers or Bentonville), you'll find a menu full of mouth-watering delights. Kick it all off with a healthy, refreshing Carrot Crush, blending carrot, orange, coconut water, turmeric and lemon. Then, welcome the season of pumpkin spice with First Watch's scrumptious Pumpkin Spice donuts. Warm cake donut holes tossed with pumpkin spiced sugar and lightly dusted with powdered cinnamon sugar. Served with salted caramel apple butter and crème anglaise. Pair those pumpkiny treats with First Watch's famous Million Dollar Bacon, baked with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne and a maple syrup drizzle. Or, try the Pumpkin Pancake Breakfast— two cage-free eggs cooked any style plus one of their signature spiced Pumpkin Pancakes and a Jones Dairy Farm grilled all-natural savory chicken sausage patty. Also on the new fall menu is the hearty and satisfying Short Rib Omelet. Savory red wine–braised beef short ribs, house-roasted shallots and Crimini mushrooms, fresh spinach and Mozzarella cheese. Topped with Parmesan cream sauce and fresh herbs. Served with lemon dressed organic mixed greens and ciabatta toast. Or maybe you'd prefer the Truffle Mushroom Hash. It features house-roasted Shiitake and Crimini mushrooms, crispy diced bacon and Monterey Jack cheese atop fresh, seasoned potatoes. Topped with two cage-free eggs any style, Parmesan cream sauce, truffle oil and lemon dressed arugula. There are so many more inventive and intriguing dishes to explore here. Corporate Chef Shane Schaibly is always keeping things fun and fresh, farm to fork. If you're into counting calories or pinching pennies, you'll be all about the Tri-Athlete, which crosses the finish line under ten dollars and only 550 calories! This champion's breakfast gets you an egg white omelet with house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and green chilies; and it comes with housemade pico de gallo, whole grain artisan toast, all-natural house preserves and fresh fruit. Or indulge in the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, which, in addition to their humongous size, get fresh, whipped ricotta cheese added to their multigrain batter, and are topped with marinated berries and creamy lemon curd. Talk about fresh! Everything here is made from scratch, in house, from their French Toast batter and baked goods to veggies sliced and juices squeezed Fresh. Every. Day.
