Campaign Status At-a-Glance As of July 15, 2021 The Preservation of the Alpha Pi House Tax Incentives Approved T he United States National Parks Service and the Wisconsin Historical Society as of June 7, 2021, have approved the tax incentives application of Beta eta Pi, "Alpha Pi House" at 622 Mendota Court in Madison, Wisconsin. Owners of historic residences in Wisconsin may be eligible for income tax credits that can help pay for their home's rehabilitation. e Tax Credit program returns 20% of the cost of approved rehabilitation as a Wisconsin income tax credit. e Wisconsin Historical Society's State Historic Preservation Office administers this program. ree alumni, Charley Giesen '68, Ted Kellner '69 and Patrick Sommerfield '67, paved the way by having the house listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. With this status and the creation of the Alpha Pi Alliance our individual contributions have been tax deductible for the past 35 years. Up to $200k of additional tax incentives will be paid out over five years upon the completion of our renovation. Our beloved house was built in 1925-1926 and was designed by the Law and Law architectural firm of Madison, Wisconsin, which survives to this day as Potter Lawson, Inc.
