Alpha Theta Delta Alumni Building Association P.O. Box 30640 Seattle, WA 98113-0640 Address Service Requested T he 2020-21 school year was outstanding for Alpha Theta Delta, academically and philanthropically, despite unprecedented challenges stemming from the pandemic. We achieved a 3.62 GPA in the fall quarter and 3.67 last winter. Our winter fundraiser highlighted another amazing achievement; we raised $1,600 to benefit Mary's Place, which provides a shelter and services that support women, children, and families on their journey out of homelessness. The undergraduates are enjoying the Seattle summer and have taken some time to reflect on their achievements and the obstacles they overcame this past year. We're excited to continue the annual tradition of going to Lake Chelan for a weekend in August to finish off the summer with an unforgettable experience. From a recruitment perspective, our chairmen have been working very hard and exploring every avenue for bringing in new members. As of the end of June, we have four new members with a goal of signing 25 bright young men. This is a lofty goal, but we are extremely excited about the plans our executive council has developed and look forward to seeing how brothers adjust and improve in the upcoming year. Please reach out to Recruitment Chairmen Hunter Hammington '23 at (206) 458-9950 or Charlie Wilkinson '23 at (720) 459-1394 if you know anyone who would be a great addition to the chapter. ALUMNI NEWS John Johnson '71 and his wife, Barbara, remain involved in dentistry and ministry on the local level with Medical Teams International and around the world with various Christian organizations. Shortly before the pandemic, they went to South America and teamed up with Eastridge Church of Issaquah and with Global Awakening for international outreaches. During their compassion-oriented ministry in Columbia with Eastridge Church, John and Barbara provided food and assistance to the Venezuelan refugees and witnessed incredible miracles. With the Global Awakening team, they partnered with local ministries in Medellin in the Andes Mountains.
