(b) The temporary increase to the base salary for the Treasurer/Tax Collector set forth in this Ordinance is limited by its own terms, and does not constitute an express or implied commitment by the County of Tehama to continue to pay that increased salary after the expiration of the limited period set forth herein. This Ordinance shall not be construed to create a vested right to receive that increased salary after the expiration of the limited period set forth herein. (c) The intention of the Board of Supervisors in adopting this temporary increase to 11 the base salary for the Treasurer/Tax Collector is to recognize the on-going exemplary service of the incumbent of that Office. This service includes, but is not limited to, providing extensive computer-related expertise to other County departments on an on-going basis. SECTION 8: This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days from adoption and prior to the expiration of fifteen (15) days from adoption thereof shall be published for at least one time in the Red Bluff Daily News, a newspaper of general circulation in Tehama County.
