Beall '12 Alumni Support Makes a Difference for Gamma Phi's Future Thank You, Generous Brothers, for Your Commitment to Beta Theta Pi! T he following brothers have banded together to show their appreciation of their Beta Theta Pi experience at the University of Oklahoma by supporting our debt- reducing Securing Our Future campaign. Together, they have helped us raise more than $370,000 toward our $500,000 goal. Their efforts have already made a tremendous difference in the future of Gamma Phi Chapter. Each of us played a part in the history of Gamma Phi, and we would like to see each brother recognized through the campaign. All donors contributing a minimum of $1,000 to the campaign will be recognized in campaign publications. If you feel an error has been made in recording your gift, we sincerely apologize. Please contact our campaign coordinator at (785) 843-1661 with any corrections. Gifts of any size are encouraged and appreciated as we work together to set Gamma Phi up for success well into the future. Your BΘΠ legacy does not end when you leave the chapter house—it lives on through the brothers who follow in your footsteps. Campaign Progress by the Numbers As of June 29, 2021 $500,000 Goal $373,175 Written Commitments 74.6% of Goal Raised 75 Total Contributors 1,904 Active Alumni K evin Foxx '79 joined Beta Theta Pi thanks in part to a strong first impression from his Beta cousins, Zane '74 and Gary Fleming '75; Gamma Phi being the only chapter house on campus with a full basketball court didn't hurt either. The lasting friendships he made are what have kept him involved all these years later. "My friends that I met in the 1975 pledge class are friends for life and have provided a lifetime of memories." Kevin served as president of his pledge class and remained heavily involved in the chapter as a collegian—especially in intramurals (mainly basketball). He and many Beta brothers entered the oil business after college, greatly enhancing their networking abilities. Kevin began working for his family in the drilling fluids business after his junior year. He later moved to the oil gathering side of the industry and is now CEO and president of Barcas LLC, an Oklahoma-based company that has managed storage, trucking, and purchasing of oil since 2009. Kevin also serves as chairman of the board for Rock N Roll Tequila—a venture that relates to his Beta connections as well. Kevin's wife (and fellow OU graduate), Laurie Muckleroy Foxx, introduced him and a group of friends (including eight Gamma Phi brothers) to a stock opportunity, and they bought a minority interest in 2016. The group now owns 90% of the company, which they manage out of Edmond, Oklahoma.
