A message from our Chamber President All this talk about bikes, trails, mountain biking, square to square, Joe Martin Stage Race and now cyclo- cross may have some asking does Cycling and Fayetteville go together like Razorbacks and Fayetteville? The answer is an unqualified YES! Fayetteville is the 6th most bicycle friendly city in the United States as proclaimed by the League of American Bicyclist formed in 1880. Our Cham- ber is one of 30 bicycle friendly businesses in Fayetteville. Cycling has contributed more than $51 million dollars in economic activity throughout Northwest Arkansas. Our public school has a K-12 cycling program. The upcoming two-day cyclocross championships to be held here January 29 and 30, 2022 is estimated to have a $3 to $5 million dollar impact in our city during that event. Definitely Cycling and Fayetteville go together as does Go Hogs! Some say that cycling rivals golf as one of the most pursed activities our community. Our Chamber knows that our trails infrastructure that supports cycling are ribbons of commerce in Fayetteville. I hope you will take the time to read this edition of #2B Fay- etteville about cycling's impact on our city and our region and its future. I ride to feel free and I ride to feel strong". When you get the opportunity rent a bike from Experience Fayetteville and find out for yourself. God Bless each of you. God Bless Fayetteville. Let's get back to work. Steve Clark, IOM President & CEO made for each other Cycling and fayetteville are 6
