Strength in Sisterhood – Preserving Our Legacy
T
he House Corporation and Beta Kappa alumnae made a strategic
decision to preserve our historic home, rather than build a new
house that lacks character and memories. It is up to us, as alumnae, to
ensure that 1015 Emery is not only maintained but preserved for future
generations of Delta Gamma sisters.
The undergraduate women are committed to maintaining the programs
and traditions that have benefited the lives of so many Delta Gammas
over the years. Together with our active members, the volunteer
leadership of the Beta Kappa House Corporation is committed to this
major undertaking, which will allow us to renovate our Chapter house
and compete with other sororities and housing options in Lawrence.
This stage of our project requires assistance from a highly selective
group of alumnae—like you. We are working to identify sisters who
have both the ability and interest to provide major assistance to the
project. Remember, each of us benefited from the generosity, work, and
sacrifice of those who came before us. We all enjoyed the comfort and
sisterhood that Delta Gamma provided during our years at KU. Now it is
our turn to support Beta Kappa to ensure the same, wonderful experience
is available to our daughters, granddaughters, and future generations.
With your support, Beta Kappa will continue to provide a quality living
environment to support, nurture, and develop outstanding young women
with the skills and confidence to face an ever-changing world.
