D
elta Gamma was founded in 1873 and helped to create safe,
authentic communities for women on college campuses. Since then,
we have strived to develop the best qualities of character and create a
supportive culture of belonging. Together, we promise to empower and
put our purpose, Do Good, into practice.
At 1015 Emery, you found your home, a community, a sisterhood, and
friendships that would last a lifetime. You may not have known it then,
but you were on your way to discovering your true self, honing your
personal and professional interests, and getting ready to launch your life,
career, and family.
Since 1940, we have pledged some of KU's finest young women to Delta
Gamma attracted by Beta Kappa's consistent focus on philanthropy and
commitment to our community and each other. Our founders believed in
the potential of young women and sought to create a space for women to
have an impact on the world. We are confident they would be proud of
our Chapter today, as we seek the same values of sisterhood, well-being,
human dignity, and heritage that have benefitted more than 2,200 women
who've graced our halls during the past 81 years.
