M
u Mu has made a difference in the lives of more
than 1,600 brothers and these men want to
give back. e Bell Chapter Challenge
through the Sigma Chi Foundation provides an
excellent opportunity to make this happen and
provides us with enhanced benefits from the
foundation.
Named for Sigma Chi Founder omas Cowan Bell,
the Bell Chapter Endowment will support the key
leadership and scholarship programs Sigma Chi provides
for Mu Mu and other chapters. ese cutting-edge, values-based
opportunities developed under Sigma Chi Leadership Institute, a
licensed education provider by the Illinois Board of Higher Education,
help change the lives of our undergraduates, bringing them to their
full potential in college and life.
Our chapters need strong, values-based leaders to grow stronger
now more than ever. With societal pressures, social media, and
constant challenges to their values and ethics, a strong fraternity
experience gives a young man a foundation and a backstop as he
grows and matures.
Our plan is to provide both a Bell Chapter Blue-level endowment
($250,000) and $150,000 in chapter-specific scholarships. e Blue-
level endowment will provide our brothers:
R ree reserved slots at the Krach Transformational Leaders
Workshop (TLW).
R Up to $1,200 in a travel stipend to encourage and support
attendance to the Krach Transformational Leaders Workshop.
R One designated Horizons slot for a qualified applicant.
R Four designated $1,000 academic scholarships recognizing
lead donors.
R An invitation to chapter delegation for the banquet dinner at
Krach TLW (including faculty/alumni present).
R Seven sponsored slots at the annual Officer Leadership
Academy.
R A local chapter retreat.

give-back/bellchapter.
e additional $150,000 in chapter-specific
scholarships will provide roughly $7,500 annually
to recognize academic and leadership success
within Mu Mu Chapter and potentially provide
support for brothers in financial need for various life
circumstances, or to send more brothers to the listed
Sigma Chi programs.
If we want our brothers to be the leaders, scholars, and successful
Mountaineer alumni of the future, not only is this an opportunity to
impart this in our young members but also to attract future members
looking for these sorts of prospects.
