THE GAMMA GAMMA STORY
I
n 1893, Gamma Gamma of Alpha Tau Omega became the first
fraternity on campus at Rose Polytechnic Institute. Since then,
many things have changed (including the name of the institution),
but one thing remains the same—Gamma Gamma. For 127 years,
we have been defining the fraternity experience at Rose-Hulman.
More than 1,200 men have gone on to have distinguished careers
in science, engineering, business, and beyond. We have maintained
lifelong bonds with our brothers and each year, when we celebrate
homecoming at Rose, we come back to our home at 5500 Wabash.
No matter how long it has been, it still feels like yesterday.
Our house is the cornerstone of undergraduate life for ATΩ brothers
and a place to come back to for Gamma Gamma alumni. It has
been a home away from home for hundreds of young men. It is a
safe place where brothers grow to be ethical leaders inspired by the
principles of Character, Scholarship, Fellowship, and Brotherhood.
However, for ATΩ to remain competitive at Rose, we must provide
a more modern facility for our undergraduate brothers. This is our
chance to set ourselves apart from the other fraternities and attract
the new members that we want.
Ron Reeves hard at work, but always having a great me!
