In addition, your home insurance cost will increase and possibly your property taxes. • Repairs – It's wise to research common repair costs specific to the type of pool you want so you can be prepared. Pools, a Redstone business member, is scheduling in-ground pools nearly a year in advance. "We could have even more record sales if it weren't so hard to get supplies," said Vickey Olinger, who co-owns the Arab pool business with her husband, Larry Olinger. Larry has been building pools for 45 years. He handles the construction side of the business that the couple started in 2010. When COVID-19 hit – and people started spending more time at home – a pool became a popular home upgrade. In-ground pools are booked up to a year in advance, Olinger said, and above-ground pools sell as fast as she gets them in. She has some helpful advice for those taking the plunge. "Use a licensed builder with a good reputation," she said. "So many things can go wrong. You need to make sure that you hire someone who has been around a long time so … they will be there to help in the years to come." Redstone plays a vital role in the success of their business, Olinger said. In early May, the couple opened a new pool store and tanning salon in Albertville. "I love Redstone! I have since the beginning," she said. e recent addition of the mobile deposit for business members is a time-saver because she doesn't have to close the store to make a deposit, she explained.
