We were business partners and he was in my wedding. I had an ongoing relationship with him. Any time I spent with him, it was meaningful." While Charlie will be deeply missed at future tailgates, stories about him and other Broth- ers who have entered Chapter Eternal are sure to be told for years to come as Brothers come together again to see each other and cheer on the Gators. "It is obviously very special to see my Broth- ers from our era and catch up with them, share memories, tell the same old stories again, and hear what is going on in their lives now. Since we are spread across the state of Florida—and in some cases even in other states—this is often the only time in the year that we get a chance to interact," Ray Royce '77 said. "It is also a great opportunity to interact with those that have come before us, including my father, Ray Royce '55, and other ATW brothers from the late 1950s, to younger Taus and even some of the current Brothers." Alpha Omega and Gator football have gone hand in hand for decades, especially with all the accolades that the likes of Steve Spurrier '66 and Jack Youngblood '69 accrued. "It's very tough to pick an all-time favorite Ga- tor football player," Michael Minton '76 said. "My all-time favorite that I know personally is Jack Youngblood '69. My all-time favorite player as a person who has touched so many others, though, is Danny Wuerffel." Whether it's celebrating an Alpha Omega True Merit Award or a Gator bowl win, it's great to be an ATW tailGATOR. "Alpha Omega is more than a fraternity. It's a brotherhood for life," Mike Underwood '79 said. "Alpha Omega is a family whose journey just began with college but lasts a lifetime and even transcends generations. Seeing Brothers and their families is equal to or better than the game itself."
