Dear Alumni of UC Sigma Chi,
On behalf of the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association, I send congratulations to the House
Corporation board on the decision to renovate your home at 2617 University Ct. The entire Bearcat
family appreciates the leadership that Zeta Psi chapter undergraduates and alumni have provided the
university, the Greater Cincinnati community and the nation for close to 140 years through their vast
contributions in the public and private sectors. To a large degree, such success springs from the local
home and base of operations for Sigma Chi's extensive great work.
I am particularly pleased that in affirming the capital campaign to update the Sigma Chi house, we also
know that such targeted fraternal fundraising is but one piece of the brothers' broader individual and
collective philanthropy in support of UC overall. Sigma Chi flourishes at UC in tandem with the
university's sustained strength, and our alumni intuitively appreciate the symbiotic connections between
the two. It's no coincidence that the roster of UC's volunteer and philanthropic leaders reflects a
palpable Sigma Chi influence. For that, we are grateful.
You'll be pleased to know that UC's Greek system is alive and well, with many fraternities and sororities
planning and carrying out renovations such as yours to enhance the features of their houses and
elevate the experience of their members. Such investments are made with a full understanding of the
life-altering role played by the partnership of the university and its fraternity and sorority chapters.
Greeks are loyal to their university, and that relationship yields mutual lifelong and multi-generational
benefits.
Thank you for your dedication to UC overall, and for your devotion and support to Sigma Chi, honoring a
rich past while promising an exciting future. Best wishes for much continued success.
Sincerely,
Jennifer L. Heisey
