SIGMA PHI EPSILON p. 3 Tell Us About Your Mill Race Memories O ver the years, there have been lots of memories of Canoe Fete and the meandering Mill Race. Send us your old photos and memories about the Mill Race and we'll feature them in the next issue of Oregon Beta Heartbeat. You can send them to Brian Stewart '82 at brian.stewart3@comcast.net. Getting Together? Send in Your Photos to Heartbeat! T he COVID-19 pandemic has put everything on hold, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. As more and more people become vaccinated, we hope our brothers will begin gathering again. When you do safely gather, we would love to see and hear your stories of what everyone is up to. For example, this August, a faithful group from 1982-85 will meet at Hood Canal V to catch up on what they've missed since their last gathering. If you are gathering with your brothers, snap a photo and tell us a bit about what you are up to. Send your stories to brian.stewart3@ comcast.net. The four brothers still at the house escaped with no injuries, and damage to personal belongings was minimal. Thanks to quick work by the Alumni Board, the brothers spent the first few days of the new year at the Phoenix Inn, a new motel across the street, while the board secured temporary housing and began repairs. To this day, all of us at Oregon Beta are thankful that no brothers were seriously hurt, and the way alumni swiftly responded to these challenges speaks to the strength and commitment of our SigEp brotherhood. Brothers from 1982-85 in 2019. Brothers at the Resort at the Mountain in Welches, Ore.
