What's it all about?
It's the largest kids event of the summer
with daily live music, games, crafts,
creative Bible teaching and dynamic
worship rally experiences.
"Press Play: Get in the Mix VBS is an
80's themed event that helps kids explore
how something remarkable can happen
when they start learning to see themselves
the way God sees them," says Travis
Young, Children's Pastor at the Pinnacle
Hills Campus. "That's real confidence!
This summer we're planning a VBS that
encourages every child to know that
because of Jesus, they can have confidence
because…They are Known, They Belong,
They are Forgiven, They can Change and
They can make a Difference!"
Many people remember when they were
growing up and attending VBS. Lifeway
Research shows that 1 in 12 school age
children in America will attend VBS every
summer.
"Many times VBS is the largest
churchwide outreach to the community of
the entire year! The impact on children's
lives is often felt through the entire
year," Travis points out. "Don't miss the
opportunity for your children to attend
and be sure to invite your friends in the
community to attend this don't-miss
event."
What is there to do at VBs?
At Press Play: Get in the Mix VBS, kids
will participate in a large group worship
experience like none other. Live worship
teams will lead kids in heart-filled worship
followed by kids' pastors sharing the hope
of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Additional
activities include extreme games,
inflatables and team activities. Indoor
crafts will help reinforce daily lessons,
which kids will take home as a reminder
of all they have learned. Bible study
rotations will take place where the word
of God is taught in clear and creative ways.
A missions project will be taking place
all week where the kids can bring loose
change and dollar bills with the goal of
raising $12,000 to fund a feeding center
and water well in Malawi, Africa.
The highlight of the week is a family
night celebration on Thursday with
Vacation Bible School at Cross Church
