am thrilled to announce this exciting, final
phase in our campaign. Once again, our
tremendously generous co-chairmen, Joe
Eastin '92 and Vaughn Vennerberg '76,
have urged us to meet our goal. Both launched
this campaign with their transformational
donations. Now, each has committed an
additional pledge of $150,000, for $300,000
total, if we can collectively match their
$300,000 with our own new pledges and gifts.
This new dollar-for-dollar matching phase will
allow us to achieve our goal of $5.5 million.
Every new dollar* pledged by you and your
brothers from now through September will be
matched dollar for dollar during this matching
gift phase. As of printing this newsletter, the
following alumni have made a new pledge or
have agreed to a sixth year to their current
pledge: Richard Brand '63, Joe Millar '68,
Chip Woodward '68, Stephen Reel '70,
Danny Stith '78, Jeffrey Arnold '80, Joe
Pixley '85, Bryan Wandel '95, and Will
Cassidy '05.
I'm excited to announce we have already
raised $57,000 toward this matching
opportunity. We only have $243,000 to go—
but we need your help.
Remember, your new pledge of $2,500 (not
including the match) or more will get your
name inscribed on the donor list prominently
displayed in our new Shelter.
If you have been sitting on the sidelines, suited
up and ready to enter the game, let our co-
chairmen know that you too are committed to a
life of excellence for the young men who will
cross the threshold at 1306 West University
in Stillwater, Oklahoma, by making your
pledge today. If you have already given to the
campaign, consider increasing your donation by
adding another year to your pledge or by giving
another gift.
I am confident that you will meet us in the end
zone as we celebrate our victory together!
