Holly Harris Shinault '66 saw her late
daughter, Libby, and her granddaughter,
Hannah Risenhoover, initiated into Pi Phi at
New Mexico State University. Both were very
special for Holly. She knew she would attend
Ole Miss after her father graduated from there.
Pi Phi made it even more special for Holly. She
was born in Oxford, Mississippi, and still has
family there. Holly lives in Rio Rancho, New

Ann Barrow Henson '73 and her husband,
Gene, were blessed with the birth of their first
granddaughter, Riley Ann, on November 25,
2019. Riley Ann was welcomed by her older
brother, James, and her cousin, Henson, who
lives in Jackson. Ann and her husband stay busy
visiting their three grandchildren, and Ann also
volunteers in a Memphis public school helping
students with reading. "Thank you for doing
these updates! I love reading every word of
these newsletters." She lives in Germantown,

Kathy Jones Sneed '73 has spent 42 years in
education and 35 years as a church music
director. She has three grandchildren. Kathy
is still best friends with Connie Chandler
Gaines '73. Kathy lives in Cedar Hill,

Jennye Wilson Heidelberg '74 retired from
pharmacy practice after 37 years. She spent 32
and a half years at Signing River Hospital in
in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Jennye enjoys life
with her grandchildren, yard work, and
church and volunteer work. She is a member
of the Gulf Coast, Mississippi, Alumnae Club.

Emily Roane Peck '82 is a part-time teacher
of American Government at the University of
Alabama-Huntsville. She and her husband,
John, have been married for 24 years, and
they have two son ages 21 and 18. They

Lisa Ryals Turley '89 lives in New Orleans,
Louisiana. She tries to make it to at least one
Ole Miss home game a year to tailgate in the
grove. Lisa and her husband, Anthony, have
two daughters, one at Auburn University
and the other is a senior in high school and
considering Ole Miss. Lisa enjoys snow
skiing, traveling, running and gardening. She
is a full-time mom and wife and a part-time
occupational therapist. Lisa would love to
get more involved in helping Pi Phi in New

Gretchen Hellums Ferreira '90 and her
husband, Steve, have been married for 25
years. She is a licensed marriage and family
therapist in private practice. Gretchen
and Steve have two children, one who
started college last fall to be a nurse.
Gretchen writes, "I can't believe she is
where I was when I became a Pi Phi. I have
wonderful memories and some lifelong
friendships." She lives in Medford, Oregon.

Elise Catherine Slaughter '92 and her
husband, Chris, have a son, Blake, who was
born in 2017. They live in Boerne, Texas,
where she is now a stay-at-home mom.

Simone Kettelhack Bonutti '93 is the
mother of six children and the vice mayor
of Manalapan, Florida. She lives in Lantana,
Florida, with her husband, Peter, and their

Ginny Blazick Gilbert '93 and her
husband, Lane, own three restaurants in
Orange Beach, Alabama: Ginny Lane is a
casual coastal cuisine on the canal at the
Wharf, Villaggio Grille is an award-winning
Mediterranean and Italian upscale restaurant
and YoHo Rum and Tacos has fun, fresh-
squeezed juices for cocktails and street tacos.

Candace McKey Strong '93 decided to go
back to school 22 years after graduating
from Ole Miss. She began graduate classes at
Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson,
Mississippi, where she will study counseling.
"As my oldest daughter began her college
career at Ole Miss, I continue mine," she
said. She lives in Edwards, Mississippi,
with her husband, Brad. They have three
daughters, Brooke, Claire and Kathryn.

Cory Norden Phillips '96 lives in Chattanooga,
Tennessee, with her husband, Todd, and their
four sons, Jackson, Cole, Tate, and Harrison.

Joanna Stone Schavrien '04 is a homemaker
and lived in Tokyo for 2 and a half years and
recently moved back to Mississippi. She and
her husband, Scott, have two children, Conley

Ashley Green '09 was married on April 18,
2020. Her husband is an Ole Miss Rebel
as well, but they never dated until after
graduation. Ashley had five of her Pi Phi
sisters by her side as bridesmaids on her big
