COURT ROUND-UP The following defendants were sentenced in Tehama County Superior Court, according to the Tehama County District Attorney's Office: —————— Recent State/Local Prison Commitments • Stanley Robert Miroth was sentenced to eight years and eight months in state prison for receiving stolen property with special allegation -prior strike. Miroth had burglarized several homes in a neighborhood and transported the stolen items to a storage unit. Deputies conducted a search of the storage unit and located the items that had been reported stolen. • Brandon Scott Paillon was sentenced to four years and four months in state prison for possession of a controlled substance; carrying a dirk or dagger special allegation-prior felony. Paillon was released from prison to mandatory supervision. He violated his terms of supervision when he was found under the influence of methamphetamine and in possession of marijuana. Paillon also failed to keep probation informed of his current contact information. • Marsil Alan Denudt was sentenced to four years in state prison for first degree residential burglary with special allegation-prior strike. An officer responded to a report regarding a suspicious vehicle. A short time later Denudt was observed walking out of a residence. The officer made contact with Denudt and conducted a consent search. The officer located coins and jewelry on his person. The owner of the residence was contacted a reported that jewelry and coins had been stolen from the residence. Recent County Jail Commitments • Jeremy Lee Yates was sentenced to 180 days in Tehama County Jail for possession for sale of a controlled substance; possession for sale of a controlled substance. An officer received knowledge that Yates was on searchable probation. The officer made contact with Yates and conducted a search of his person and located methamphetamine. When Skillen arrived at the arranged location he was arrested and taken into custody. • Carl Brian Hooker was sentenced to 120 days in Tehama County Jail for meeting minor for lewd purposes. An undercover investigator posted an online advertisement posing as a 15 year old female. Hooker responded to this advertisement and arranged to meet the 15 year old for sexual purposes. When Hooker arrived at the arranged location he was arrested and taken into custody. • Jason Lee Humphrey was sentenced to 90 days in Tehama County Jail for possession of firearm by a felonpriors. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Humphrey. Inside the vehicle officers located a rifle and a handgun. • Nancy Lynn Morrissey was sentenced to 90 days in Tehama County Jail for aid by misrepresentation. Morrissey was receiving food stamps from the county and failed to report income from another person living in the residence. This resulted in an overpayment of about $3,084. • Penny Lynn Steele was sentenced to 90 days in Tehama County Jail for transportation of a controlled substance with special allegation-controlled substance prior. Steele was originally granted formal probation. She violated her terms of probation when she tested positive for methamphetamine. Oh Snap!
