Seth Sherlock '14 President Occupation: Second-Year Medical Student "I joined the Board of Trustees because in my time as an undergraduate there is no decision that improved my college experience more than joining ATW, and my goal is to help give back to the chapter for all it gave me while also building it back to help develop the young men of tomorrow for a future of success." Bruce Gjovig '74 Member-at-Large Occupation: CEO Emeritus, UND Center for Innovation Foundation "e fraternity experience doubles the value of the college experience. e fraternity has more value today than ever before…for personal development, leadership, and life skills. ATW requires members to mature, stand tall, persuade, make difficult decisions, lead, and work together as a team." "I decided to volunteer with Delta Nu because I was inspired by this brotherhood and wanted to give back in a positive way by providing leadership." Al Grentz '17 Member-at-Large Occupation: Student "I decided to join the Delta Nu Board of Trustees because I wanted to continue an active role with the chapter while not being an active member. I wanted to be able to advise the chapter and assist with building the future for the chapter to continue for many more years to come. I also want to give back for everything Kevin Riley '79 Member-at-Large Occupation: VP Service, Sales and Marketing at Robert Gibb & Sons Mechanical Contracting Company "I grew up in Fargo and graduated from Shanley High School in 1978. I enrolled at UND the fall of 1978 and immediately pledged ATW. ere were 30 guys in my pledge class! I went active in January of 1979 and lived in the house until I graduated in 1982. Aer college, I moved to Minneapolis and had a successful career in mortgage banking. I married Katie Gibb, who was an Alpha Phi at UND, in 1992 and had three daughters. In 2010, we moved back to Fargo to work for Robert Gibb & Sons, a large mechanical contracting company. We live in a condo on the riverfront in downtown Fargo." March 1, 2021 – e Needle Is Stuck We were sitting at $3,200,000 in gis and pledges…and had been for seemingly ages. While believing in the Wilkens Micawber optimism that "something will turn up," we witnessed a slowing of the pledge pace and enthusiasm seemed to be waning, despite reopening of that spectacular architectural gem perched at 3000 University. April 1, 2021 – A Game Changer And then came the unexpected. It was a tag-team effort—no question. It started with Jim Scoular '65. He called his then-pledge mate and now lifelong best friend Don Mann '68 and asked for help. Don said "yes" and overnight the needle moved from $3.2 to $3.3 million. And then came another. e Silent Seven, who have asked for anonymity, offered to raise another $100,000 to match the Mann gi. And, suddenly, the end was in sight. June 1, 2021 – And Done With the Mann gi and Silent Seven plan to match the Mann $100,000 gi, we will have $75,000 yet to raise by June 1. e full-court press is on. You will receive emails; some will be contacted by phone; still others will be visited in person. We have 60 days from when this Delta Nus goes to press to conclude e Return to 3000 University…debt-free. Be a part of the final push. Help us finish the job by June 1.
