"We don't have a downtown square, per se, here in Farmington," said Josh Frye, Farmington Chamber of Commerce President. "Larry and Diane had a vision to do something about that. ey purchased the land and have developed the design around creating a center." Larry and Diane both were executives at IBM for years and happened to spend a good deal of time in England. e design of Farmington Village was the result of their travels. "I grew up in California and worked as an executive for 40 years before retiring to Northwest Arkansas," Larry said. "Farmington Village is easily recognizable as having an Old World European design that was inspired by several small towns across Europe I visited during my corporate career. I enjoyed the environment so much, it became the basis of a real estate project here in Farmington." Larry and Diane definitely wanted to build something that would stand out in Northwest Arkansas. "We wanted to provide an environment the community would be proud to have in its city and standout as a symbol of quality versus the fast food operations and sheet metal buildings," Larry said. "e Center is now fully leased which is a sign the community is appreciative of the extra time, detail, and quality we put into making the village special to Farmington." e businesses leasing in Farmington Village are gravitating to foundational professional services such as Star Physical erapy, Farmington Eye Center, and Selah Spa. e village will continue to look for additional foundational services such as a dentist.
