100th Anniversary
Celebration Postponed
A
fter careful consideration, the AO Chapter 100th
Anniversary Committee has voted to postpone the
anniversary celebration set for September 18, 2021.
Planning an event of this size and scope is not easy
under normal circumstances. Planning the same event
during a worldwide pandemic has proven extremely
difficult. It has been hard to secure facilities because
of the uncertainty of what restrictions may or may not
be in place in September due to the pandemic. While
we are all hopeful that life will be back to normal by
September, especially in light of the availability of vaccines, there is still no guarantee that we
would be able to hold a celebration of the size and scope we are planning.
The committee is looking for possible new dates in the spring of 2022, and we hope to be able to
announce a new date in the coming weeks.
Seeking Volunteers!
While we continue to make plans, we welcome alumnae who are interested in volunteering to help
plan this momentous celebration. It will take many sisters to create this event, so please email us if
you would like to help: ao.adpi.100@gmail.com.
