BY JAY BOBBIN A movie from 1995 might not seem "classic," but director Michael Mann's "Heat" – which Starz shows Monday, April 19 – made itself an immediate classic of the crime genre. Though it runs just under three hours, its pace might leave you surprised that it lasted that long when it's over, and its many attractions include the first on-screen meeting of iconic actors Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. (Both appeared earlier in "The Godfather, Part II," but in different segments.) Pacino plays the leader of an elite Los Angeles police unit determined to catch a career criminal (De Niro), and the script goes deep into the two men's personal lives: Pacino's Vincent has a complicated relationship with his latest wife (Diane Venora) and her young daughter (Natalie Portman), while De Niro's Neil is a loner hesitantly becoming involved with a new interest (Amy Brenneman). Joachim Trier ("Oslo, August 31st," "Reprise") co-wrote and directed the film, which stars Eili Harboe ("Project Z") as Thelma, along with Kaya Wilkins and Henrik Rafaelsen. "Movie: Cézanne et moi" Danièle Thompson wrote and directed this 2016 biographical drama that follows the parallel paths, careers and passionate friendship of post- impressionist painter Paul Cezanne and writer Emile Zola, who both left their hometown for the Paris art scene in the late 19th century. Guillaume Canet ("Last Night"), Guillaume Gallienne and Alice Pol head the cast. "My Love: Six Stories of True Love" From Korean filmmaker Jin Mo-young ("My Love, Don't Cross That River") comes this documentary series in which local filmmakers from India, Spain, Brazil, South Korea, Japan and the United States present a year in the life of one elderly couple, who have been together for anywhere from 43 to 60 years.
