12 • 2021 Dogwood Festival Classic cars roll into the Dogwood Festival for its first annual car show by Karen Rice The Dogwood Festival is always looking for ways to expand and grow the experience for festival attendees. With this in mind, the Dogwood Festival was approached about the idea of adding new and vintage automobiles to the festival. Gaylene Ellis of Legacy Jewelry is the coordinator for this event, in conjunction with Lindsey Taylor, Dogwood Festival Coordinator and Director of Community Development for the Siloam Springs Chamber of Commerce. The car show is looking at bringing in over 100 vehicles of all makes and models from the last 100 years. Festival attendees will be able to walk up to and look at the cars that will be showcased at the festival and visit with the owners, all free of charge. "This is going to be the first Annual Dogwood Festival Car Show," Taylor said. "And it promises to be a great addition to the already fun-packed weekend in Siloam Springs!" "This car show is open to all type of vehicles and classic cars. It will draw a crowd to our community that may not have been here before," Ellis explained. "We want to make this event a destination that car lovers look forward to each year." The First Annual Dogwood Festival Car Show will take place on Saturday, April 24, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. The awards ceremony will be at 3:00 pm, with a cruise night to follow from 5:00- 8:00 pm. Registration is $25 per car, and you can find the link on the Siloam Springs Cruise Night and Dogwood Festival Facebook pages to register.
