alumni.oxepsilon.org T he Epsilon Chapter alumni relations team has been reporting donation analytics with respect to each class' average donation totals alongside their respective participation rates. Here, we have compiled the donation data since 2011. The top five leading classes in total donations are: '85 ($5,000), '59 ($4,550), '76 ($3,550), '86 ($3,375) and '78 ($2,900). The classes of '76 and '86 are in a close battle for the third spot, while many other classes are nearing the fifth-place total. As always, donations of any amount are welcomed and the Chapter is grateful for any and all contributions. A little bit could go a long way! If you would like to make a donation, please visit the Chapter website at oxepsilon.org. DONATION ANALYTICS 2021 Theta Chi Recognized for Chapter Excellence Wins Fraternity of the Year Award E ach year, the Greek system at WPI produces a Chapter Excellence report. Chapters on campus are measured in several key areas such as chapter management, member development, financials, facilities, health and safety, external partnerships, and innovation. For 2020, Theta Chi had the highest score and was named Fraternity of the Year! HONORABLE MENTION FOR ALUMNI PROGRAMMING This past year, our Chapter organized various events that allowed alumni and current brothers to connect. This was best exemplified when we hosted our annual summer golf tournament, and during our monthly alumni dinners. The Brothers enjoyed connecting with alumni, and we are looking for more ways to expand our alumni programming while conforming to the restrictions set by the COVID-19 pandemic. The undergraduates appreciate any and all kinds of engagement, and we look forward to hosting more events to connect and catch up in the future. BEST FINANCES AWARD We strive to maintain our affordable house dues. We have been able to achieve this by careful budgeting; continuing to cook our own meals lowers our house dues, as well as good financial choices in areas such as projects, recruitment, and philanthropy. Just this past semester, we were able to save approximately $25,000 due to the budgeting skills of the executive committee and Treasurer Connor Buek '21. In turn, this has allowed the undergraduates to pay approximately 20% less to live in the house this semester! ALUMNI TESTIMONIAL: TEJ SHETH '20 W ithout the friends I made in Theta Chi, it's difficult to imagine myself as an alumnus of WPI. Theta Chi carved opportunities for leadership and paved the way to make the most of my four years. The house taught me the value of excelling in academics while growing my professional network. I leveraged Epsilon Chapter's expansive network of alumni to build relationships with leaders in the industry I sought a career in. Their willingness to provide impactful guidance was encouraging. Through thorough interview prep, one-on-one meetings with subject matter experts, and regular feedback on my portfolio, I completed two robotics R&D internships at Schneider Electric and one at Brooks Automation Life Sciences. Prior to graduation, I accepted my full-time role at Amazon Robotics. I still carry these lessons in my day-to-day work. I hope to give back to Theta Chi as much as I have gained in my four years.
