A
lthough the 2020-21 school year has
presented many challenges, Gamma
Delta Chapter is proud to have made
great strides.
We took on a new member class of 34 and
initiated all in the fall. In addition, we have
taken on a spring new member class of eight.
In the Greek Awards ceremony last fall,
we received the College and Community
Award, highlighting our involvement in
the community, as well as the Membership
Development Award.
Gamma Chapter also finished fourth in IFC
in grades for fall 2020 with a 3.46 GPA,
surpassing the all-Greek GPA of a 3.42. Our
hard work is clearly paying off and making a
difference in our community.
New Leadership and
Learning Opportunity
Our brothers are excited to take part in the pilot
program for the Distance Learning Leadership
Certificate in the newly accredited Sigma
Chi Leadership Institute (SCLI). Pro Consul
Ryan Jeffries '23 earned the honor of being
recorded as the first enrollee of SCLI for his
eagerness to be a part of this pioneer program.
This course began February 15 with 48 of our
members volunteering to participate in the first
class of the program.
Making a Positive Impact
We are proud to announce our Chapter Balfour
Award winner, Jared Kuykendall '21.
Congratulations, Jared!
This spring, we aspire to raise $20,000 for the
Huntsman Cancer Institute and host the annual
Derby Days philanthropic event. Additionally,
Sigma Chi is paired with Chi Omega for the
Varsity Review show at OSU this semester,
and we are excited to ease back into having
normal events.
The 115 active members of Gamma Delta
Chapter are excited for the remainder of spring
semester, and we are eager to keep positively
impacting the Fraternity, OSU, and the
Stillwater community.
