P I B E T A P H I | U N I V E R S I T Y O F G E O R G I A | S P R I N G 2 0 2 1 Memories on Milledge Linking Georgia Alpha Pi Phis I n February, we celebrated 82 years since the Georgia Alpha Chapter of Pi Beta Phi joined a vibrant Greek community at UGA. In May, we will celebrate the beginning of the first major renovation in decades of our wonderful home at 886 South Milledge Ave. What a journey! We are grateful to each one of you who has made a gift, promoted the campaign and encouraged others to join you as a donor. While we write this letter as a show of gratitude, we still have an ask. e groundbreaking is set for mid-May. We only have two more months to reach our stretch alumnae support goal of $750,000, and we still have approximately $250,000 to raise. Please consider giving. We have said it often: Every gift matters – no matter the amount. Your contribution can be spread out in installments over five years. If 84 of you reading this letter pledged $50 a month for five years, we would meet our goal. We need you to be one of the 84 sisters to step up for 886 South Milledge. Our sisterhood has dreamed for years about this renovation that will breathe new life into 886 South Milledge. e work will create a home for our newest sisters to enjoy for many years to come. It will also be a home where we will visit and immerse ourselves in treasured memories made in Georgia Alpha. As the co-chairs of A New Vision Built on Great Tradition, we thank our capital campaign committee members, all the donors and the many dear sisters who encouraged others to give. Nothing in 2020 was easy – including fundraising! ere is still time for you to make an enormous difference for Georgia Alpha.
