A native New Yorker, Jay grew up in White Plains and later built a home with his wife, Roberta, in Nanuet. Jay and Roberta celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together with their families at a surprise party organized by their children in Washington, D.C., two years ago. They had a son, Michael; daughter, Lauren; and grandson, Nathan. After graduating from Bradley, Jay worked as a senior planner for White Plain's urban renewal project. He then traveled the world as a director of special projects with GTE and retired as the head of environmental health and safety for Turner Construction. John "Jack" Heiniger '64 peacefully entered Chapter Eternal at his home near Germantown Hills, Ill., on December 13, 2020, at 78. After completing their degrees, Jack accepted a job with DuPont Company. They headed east to Bridgeport, Conn., to start their careers and life together. They had one daughter, Susan. In 1973, following further DuPont assignments in Virginia and Delaware, they decided to return to their original home and families back in Illinois.
