3 Kappa Alpha Chapter F irst and foremost, we would like to thank our loyal alumnae for making all the additions and renovations possible through their generous donations. With a 70-year-old house and hundreds of women going in and out of the Chapter House every day, the wish list never ends. Here's a rundown of Kappa Alpha's upcoming projects. t Bathrooms: We have three bathrooms that have not been updated since the 1950s! Obviously, this is a much-needed priority and will cost approximately $105,000. t Terrace covering: Due to the pandemic, more sisters are eating outside except when it's raining. Therefore, we need to cover our terrace to provide a rainproof outdoor eating space. t Mirrors: We have five rooms without windows due to additions. With added mirrors, these rooms would seem lighter and more open. t Generator: A generator is much needed for our kitchen and HVAC system. t Back parking lot: Our back parking lot needs a complete overhaul. t Miscellaneous repairs: Repairs are always needed for the kitchen, HVAC, lawn maintenance, security system, and cameras. In today's world, security is more important than ever. To keep our members safe, more guards and cameras have been added for their protection. So many wonderful memories have been made at our beloved home at 555 W. Jefferson St. You can repay Kappa Alpha for everything your Kappa Delta experience has given you, all while providing a first-class environment for our collegians, by chipping in to fund these projects.
