We hired a new property management company and meal planning service, both of which have produced immediate results and have been well-received by the actives. e chapter recruited another double-digit member class this spring, and the house will be full again for the 2021-22 school year to keep us marching along. We are planning for the 150th anniversary celebration in 2023 and, regulations permitting, plan to host alumni events later this year. We hope you will be able to join the largest Beta chapter in the Big Ten on Mendota Court to renew the bonds of brotherhood and celebrate our shared success in the second half of the year. Yours in _kai_, Max Lord, #1991, UW 2007 BBA President 2021 LOOKS BRIGHT FOR BETA Brothers had a blast at our philanthropy golf outing. A s you have heard before, this year is unlike any other, and with that our philanthropy had to change with the times. e whole idea of a philanthropy is to create an event that brings the most money to the foundation. It's hard to think of events that can meet our fiscal goals while properly social distanced and following Wisconsin COVID guidelines, but one idea stuck out like a sore thumb: a golf fundraising event. So that's exactly what we did! We invited all the brothers and some alumni to play, raising money for the Robert Michael Wood Foundation. is wonderful organization seeks to improve the quality of life of children affected by a pediatric stroke, and to help the families of those in the NICU. e foundation was brought to Beta by former Philanthropy Chairman Louis Monette '19 and we have worked with them ever since. As philanthropy chairman for the second year in a row, my goal this year is to create a new annual event that will gain widespread community recognition. I believe this will lead to more money for the foundation in the long run. —Ryan Tully, #2208, UW 2022, Philanthropy Chairman ACTIVES AND ALUMNI TEE OFF FOR KIDS Alex Gross, '23 and Evan Hertzberg, '23 enjoy Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Florida.
