from various parts of the country," he said. "e number one experience for me was that exposure to a broad array of people with various backgrounds." e social aspect of living at 690 Waldron was an important element of Nick's undergraduate experience. From ursday social events with sororities to football on the weekends, the time spent with his brothers was a highlight of his time at Purdue. e moments he cherished the most were the ordinary moments during dinners and chapter meetings at the house with his brothers. Aer graduating with a bachelor of science in industrial engineering in 1979, Nick worked as an industrial engineer at IBM for two years before attending Harvard Business School. Aer Harvard, Nick spent his entire career in private equity and retired several years ago. However, Nick is most proud of his family. He and his wife, Ellen, are very close with their adult children, Katherine (28) and Matthew (25). As for his SigEp family, Nick has enjoyed reconnecting with his Indiana Alpha brothers over the last year and plans to attend Homecoming this fall. Nick and Ellen live in Incline Village, Nevada (along the northern shores of Lake Tahoe) during the summer and on Maui during the winter. You can connect with him at nickharris8@gmail.com.
