The Council voted adopt the 2020 La Paz County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan after hear- ing a presentation by Code Enforce- ment Offi cer Gabriel Marcurio. This plan was also developed to make the par- ticipants eligible for certain types of Federal disaster assistance and haz- ard mitigation grant funding. www.QuartzsiteAZ.org- Our community is in the height of its season and the Quartzsite Food Bank is busier than ever. We need donations and canned and boxed groceries. If you have groceries to donate please drop them off at the food bank Tues and Thurs 8-noon or at the Dollar General, Road Runner Market, Coyote Foods, or Horizon Bank. We also re- cycle cans & bottles at the food bank. Volunteers needed Monday, Tues- day, and Thursday starting at 7 am or if you can't make that call for more info on other times. Thank you to everyone for all your support and donations that have helped make the food bank work! We are a small nonprofi t that makes a big impact on our community. If you are staying at home, you can still help by donating to help us keep operating. We are a private nonprofi t that needs your help. Our budget is being used up because of what this vi- rus is doing to people's lives. Being a 501c3, we are tax-deductible. We are also an AZ Tax Credit Char- ity which means you can take off dol- lar for dollar up to $800 off your AZ taxes and you can donate up to April 15 2021 for your 2020 tax year. Just like you see in the ads on tv for St. Mary's Food Bank. To donate and for info go to Quartz- siteFoodBank.com.
