Fire The recent fire at Flournoy that destroyed the store and post office caused a loss to Mrs. Katherine Halley, of this county, that she will never be able to replace. Mrs. Halley had one of the most valuable and most unique collections of Indian beads in the state, and they were destroyed with the post office. She had taken the beads to the Flournoy office the evening the building was destroyed, having mailed them to a grandson in Los Angeles who was to play a role of an Indian chief and ride a pony in the parade. — May 29, 1923 An account has been established at Cornerstone Community Bank for donations to the family of Skylar Garcia for information please call 529-1222
