Campaign Announcement Inside!
G
oing through the fraternity recruitment process at Cornell
University, Glenn Peterson '73 was impressed by
Beta Omicron Chapter, both the active members and
the facility. "I liked the guys I met at rush," Glenn said.
"The Shelter was also a big selling point for me." During
his freshman year, Glenn lived in the old University Hall
dorms, which have since been torn down and replaced.
Glenn loved living at the Shelter during his time as an active
member of Delta Tau Delta. It was there that he would develop
skills crucial to his future success while making lifelong memories
with his fraternity brothers. "I learned a lot about life from being a Delt,"
Glenn said. "I had the benefit of living in a nearly new Shelter that was
built thanks to the support of alumni brothers." This was Glenn's biggest
motivator for supporting Our Home, Our Legacy, the capital campaign
for Beta Omicron. "I want to pay it forward," Glenn said. "I would tell
my alumni brothers to reflect on their fraternal experience and do
the same."
After graduating from Cornell with a bachelor of science in
operations research and industrial engineering, now called
information engineering, Glenn began his career in IT,
later moving into real estate investment. For several years,
when he lived in Ohio, Glenn would return to campus every
year for Homecoming. He also served Beta Omicron as a
trustee and treasurer for the House Corporation. "I've been less
involved since moving to the West Coast," Glenn said. "However, I
became more active when I was able to visit the Shelter again in 2019."
Today, Glenn is retired and living in Kirkland, Washington. He would
love to reconnect with his Beta Omicron brothers! You can reach Glenn at
