They're stunned because, of course, up until now they thought hu- mans were mythical creatures. An exiled and bitter American (Humphrey Bogart) running a popular nightclub in Casablanca can't help but fall in love again with his one-time sweetheart (Ingrid Bergman) in this 1942 film that is one of the true Hollywood classics. He decides to use stolen documents to escape Nazi-occupied Morocco with her, but things don't go as planned. 9 p.m. on HIST History's Greatest Mysteries The new episode "Roswell: The First Witness — The Writer" takes investigator Ben Smith to the hometown of the late U.S. Army Major Jesse Marcel, who was the first offi- cer on the scene after a "flying disk" crash landed in New Mexico in July 1947. Marcel died in 1986, but Smith seeks to talk with surviving family members who have informa- tion that supports Marcel's story of a subsequent govern- ment cover-up. 9 p.m. on TRAV Most Terrifying With Jason Hawes In a new episode called "Blackbeard's Vengeance," a monstrous headmistress who tortures innocent souls from beyond the grave is among the cases explored by para- normal investigator Jason Hawes. In other segments, a restaurant quakes with ghostly activity, and an entire island is stalked by the sinister spirit of a notorious pirate. 10 p.m. on TCM Movie: The Way We Were Unrequited love is at the center of this Arthur Laurents story brought to life by Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand. Sydney Pollack directed the 1973 romantic drama about a political activist (Streisand) and a clean-cut military man (Red- ford).
