US 95 Delay/closure in Yuma Sat. Dec. 19 By Joanne Winer The Quartzsite Community Thrift Store, which has been in the store on E. Main St across from Coyote Foods for the past several years, is return- ing back to the building behind Silly Al's where they fi rst started. The person who bought the bak- ery decided to also buy the building next to it where the Thrift Store had moved years ago. It just happens that the building they originated from was resold and up for rent so they were able to go back "home." Talk about serendipity !! This move is going on now and Jini has some help, but her sidekick Dot recently broke her leg in three places so is unable to help right now. Jini is asking for any volun- teers who can help with the move Quartzsite Community Thrift Store moves to original location and also will need help getting the store ready to reopen. She is hoping to be able to do it before Christmas but it may take longer if she has no help. If you can give her any time at all she will cover you with hugs!! The store can also use any racks, shelves, tables for inside and outside for working and sorting on, and any items that can be sold to help raise money for running the store and for donating back to the community. Since they fi rst opened many years ago they have given out thousands of dollars to local non profi ts and service organizations. This Thrift Store has been a huge benefi t for our town and any help they get will be very appreciated please call Jini at 928-916-7338 if you can help in any way.
