While we all longed for the normalcy of years prior when we could engage with one another on a more personal level, we still made the most of virtual recruitment and were able to welcome a wonderful new pledge class. For this semester, we held our chapter meetings and new member meetings in the OU Thurman J. White Forum building where actives and new members could socially distance from one another. We felt lucky to remain in person because these times together as a chapter are so important to us. Initiation was also very special because we were able to hold this in person as well, with precautions in place. New members were initiated with their sponsor by their side, while active members watched the ceremonies via Zoom. A brunch was hosted outside on the Tri Delta lawn for members to safely socialize with one another. Sincerely Yours, one of our biggest events for St. Jude, was held at the Tri Delta house. We allowed members to come in shifts to write letters to their families and friends, asking them to donate to a cause that is so near and dear to our hearts, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. As we move into the second half of the semester, we will be conducting a Self-Love Week filled with events and goodies for our members to enjoy. Whole House Retreat will also be held with precautions in place for a fun but safe time. Before Thanksgiving break, members applied for positions within the chapter and assumed their new roles. I have full faith that our current officers will work with our new set of officers to support them and guide them to continue improving our chapter, despite the difficult circumstances.
