Notes from MIZ KΔ Liz O'Neill Orvos '82 (Continued from page 1) f l i o missouri.kappadelta.org Mizzou Kappa Delta @MUKappaDelta @mukappadelta mizzoukappadelta.tumblr.com In addition to Mystery Date, Liz's favorite memories from Epsilon Iota include Greek Week, house decorations, parties with sisters, and living in the large rooms in the chapter house. Liz served as pledge trainer as an undergraduate, which perhaps influenced her early teaching career. She taught first, second, and fourth grades for several years before stopping to raise her children. A few years aer that, she launched her art career. Liz says one of the best parts of that career is simply the recognition received when people buy her paintings. Another highlight is having like-minded friends in the art community who travel internationally for workshops. "Nothing better than that!" One of Liz's favorite art-related quotes comes from Picasso: "Every child is an artist. e problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up." Liz lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she enjoys painting, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. She shares the Kappa Delta bond with her mother, Dorothy Breckenridge O'Neill, Sigma Omicron '43, and her daughter, Mackenzie Orvos, Alpha Mu '14. Liz can be reached at lizorvosart@gmail.com. On the far right, Liz and Brad Pi at the Mystery Date event. LIZ'S TOP 5 LESSONS FROM KAPPA DELTA 1. How to get along with others. 2. How to share a bathroom while ge ng ready for a party! 3.
