Founded on November 28, 1951, Redstone has grown
right along with our members' needs. Today, we are one
of the top 20 federally chartered credit unions in the
nation in size, with over $6.2 billion in assets and more
than 500,000 members.
Redstone's membership was initially limited to military
personnel and contractors of Redstone Arsenal.
Over time, that changed to include service
groups – businesses, organizations, and
associations that offer the benefit of
Redstone membership to their employees
or members.
Today, any company with five or more employees located
within 25 miles of a branch is eligible to join or become one
of our service groups. Our membership base is diverse and
growing rapidly.
Unlike banks, our members are equal shareholders. As a
member-owned cooperative, we are always looking beyond
the walls of the credit union and into the larger community.
We are committed to investing in the excellent quality of life
available in Middle Tennessee, North Alabama, and beyond.
