Box 201225, Austin, TX 78720-1225. Why do you think it is important for alumni to stay connected with each other and with Sigma Chi? The continued contact with other brothers serves to strengthen those bonds developed while at 2701 Nueces. By staying connected with the Sigma Chi active Chapter, we all have the opportunity to give back as those before us obviously have, and to even help younger brothers entering the "work world" for the first time or changing jobs. What motivated you to support Alpha Nu through the capital campaign? Those before me gave so much so that I could enjoy the house during my four years (I should have included a victory lap!). I feel very strongly that it is our obligation to continue that long line of giving so that others may have a quality house to enjoy the experiences that we did. It was particularly important to me to specifically honor my deceased pledge brother and lifelong best friend, Reed Jordan '79, with my capital campaign pledge. I would hope that those who have not yet made a meaningful pledge would find it in their hearts to do so. Those of us who have are depending on you to join us to enable the campaign to reach the finish line. How would you encourage other alumni to get involved in the campaign? Primarily, I would encourage them to think back on their time spent and the education received at the Sigma Chi house as well as UT. Friendships that were forged there and even meeting future spouses that would not have been possible without the Sigma Chi house. Is there anything else you'd like to add about your time with Sigma Chi, about your career, and/or your family? I honestly believe that my decision to pledge Sigma Chi was one of the best decisions that I have ever made! One of the highlights of my life was being able to participate in the initiation of my sons Taylor and Will at the Gamma Iota Chapter of Sigma Chi at LSU. Mark and his wife of more than 39 years, Lynn, have been blessed with three children, Taylor, Will, and Laura; a daughter-in-law, Garet (an LSU alumna); and a granddaughter, Margaret. Mark and Lynn reside in Houston and Mark can be reached at markcedwards57@gmail.com. LifeLong, famiLy Ties To sigma Chi (Continued from page 1) Christopher O. Champion '92 Brad S.
